Founded

  • A group settlers home is constructed, which will later become the home of Margaret River’s Berry Farm
1946-1949

Start of Thornhill Farm

  • Vera Vinall creates the cottage gardens at the property, known then as Thornhill Farm
1984

The Berry Farm is born

  • The Lindsay family purchases the property and the Berry Farm is born
1986

Cottage Café opens

  • Offering delicious morning and afternoon teas, and country-style lunches. The café began to sell small batches of home-made jams
1986

Commercial kitchen built

  • Providing an opportunity to scale up production on the current selection of homemade jams and to introduce additional jams and condiments
1987

Cellar door opens

  • Offering the first fruit wines and traditional fruit wine vinegars alongside tastings of jams and condiments
2006

The Berry Farm is sold

  • The Lindsay family decide to retire and put the Berry Farm up for sale. The Skivinis family purchases the property
2016 - 2010

TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence Award

  • The Cottage Café and the Cellar Door and Tasting Room both receive TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence for seven consecutive years
2019

WA Countrywide Cafe of the Year Award

  • The Cottage Café wins WA Region Countrywide Cafe of the Year Award
2020

TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award

  • The Berry Farm receives TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award
